So I’m still trying to figure this thing out and I’m not just talking about blogging (def trying to figure out the blog too). In two months, I’ve moved back from California, re-started my job…basically just went back to my old job, moved in with my bf Nate, raced IM AZ, changed coaches, and started a blog! Things are so busy, I still haven’t unpacked boxes from the move and I’m not sure when that’s going to happen either.
A lot of people are probably shocked that I started a blog and I’m kind of shocked myself too. But, after 5 years of triathlon, I finally feel like I need a place to store my thoughts on races, photos, vacations and anything else that I feel like posting. I also read so many other peoples blogs that I owe it to them to read mine, even if they find that it’s crap and never read it again, at least they have the option. I also want to emphasize that I’m an engineer and I’ve only written technical papers since college, so it might take me a little bit to work out the dryness and get in some sense of humor. We’ll have to see.
So for right now, I’m going to continue enjoying my time off from exercising for another week or so before I embark on a new phase of my life. I recently left my coach and dear friend, Craig Strong, after 5 years to begin a new journey in triathlon with Hillary Biscay. I hope that her and I can have the relationship that I had with Craig, but for right now, I am just super excited for something totally new.
